Joel Goslar is not your typical CEO. To start, he believes CEOs who eagerly market their products to your children but won't let their own children use them because of the harm they cause should not be in business. He feels the same about CEOs who go to great lengths to shield their privacy, but will actively sell out yours. So he tries to live by the Golden Rule of don't do unto others what you wouldn't want done to you.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from the Johns Hopkins University. He tries to stay actively involved in the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association, but also believes in giving back. So, he has volunteered to mentor first-generation college students and those from low-income households as part of his alma mater's structured mentoring program. Outside of work, he loves watching movies, swimming, and spending quality time with friends and family.
He founded his first business, Myabuy®, a shopping social network that allowed members to generate RSS feeds to sell their goods and services without owning a website, while he was a senior in college. He wanted to make it easier for people to purchase and sell things online (even if they had no programming background). So he invented and patented a system that allowed anyone to generate an RSS feed in under a minute without having to write code. After web browsers stopped offering built-in RSS feed functionality, he shut down the business. But he learned a lot from Myabuy's failure.
He and his project manager, Andrew, built a team dedicated to giving everyone 2nd Chances.

What Makes Proofn Different From Big Tech Competitors. We are always upfront with our customers. Our Big Tech Competitors aren't. For example: A few of our Big Tech Competitors promote the ability to "Unsend" a message you have sent. But they can't. The truth is, they delay sending the email for 30 seconds. In other words, that claim is a lie. Proofn is the 1st email provider with 2nd Chance Technology. So we don't delay sending emails.

Our blog post today is quite an angry one. I recently stumbled upon a YouTube video that revealed a shocking truth: Google was scanning all my emails in Gmail without my knowledge. They made it opt-out by default, rather than opt-in. The video demonstrated how to opt out, which I promptly did. However, I soon discovered that Google was also scanning all my emails in my Google Workspace accounts, which I pay $8.60 a month for each. This is absurd, considering that many work emails can be highly sensitive, and it took a YouTuber to tell me they were doing this in the first place.
Needless to say, I followed the YouTube video to promptly opt out of this on my Google Workspace accounts too. But I hope everyone who uses Gmail or a Google Workspace account knows that all their emails are being scanned to train the Google AI model. As the saying goes, “If you aren’t paying for a product, you are the product.” It appears to me that Google views everyone who uses their email service as a product, regardless of whether they pay a monthly subscription fee.
We also believe that if it were an opt-in option, no person would agree to it because it feels creepy. I don't know any business not owned by Google that would agree to this either. But they probably know this, which is why it's opt-out and secret. The scary part is how many news outlets didn't think this info was worth reporting on. Long story short, if you don’t want your email to be scanned to train some third-party AI, upgrade to Proofn editable email with 2nd Chance Technology.
